How One Woman Found Definitive ProofAlthough I didn't realize it at the time, I began seeing ghosts when I was four years old. I didn't know they were ghosts because their appearance was normal, and they looked and acted much like anyone else you might see in your neighborhood or on the street. It wasn't until I was a little older that I began to realize that my friends and family members couldn't see these people as I did.

At first I found it frustrating, and even a little irritating that other people couldn't interact with my 'invisible friends', as they called them. And then it was confusing to me that I seemed to be bridging two worlds.

I never considered the idea that my friends were 'ghosts'. At such a young age, I wasn't familiar with the term. My playmates were real people, with their own feelings, ideas and opinions. Most of them were kind, and my playtime with them was very interactive. Like most children I had a favorite friend and she stayed with me for several years.

I began to recognize a difference between the two types of people in my life as my Father grew increasingly impatient with my persistence and insistence over the reality of my invisible friends. When his annoyance reached a fever pitch with my discussions with people he could neither see nor sense, he would bark, "that's enough, leave it alone," and I knew I was upsetting him. So, I tried to keep my interactions with my "other friends" limited to times when my family wasn't around.

To make matters worse, my Mother took me to the doctor and asked him about this habit of mine of talking to people who weren't there, and he pulled me aside and told me to "knock it off" that I was "scaring my Mother". I vowed then and there to keep this part of me as hidden as I possibly could.

I grew up in the 70's, a time before any sort of interest about ghosts, the paranormal or psychics became as popular and accepted as it is today. And to make the situation more complicated, we lived in a small Southern town in northern Georgia and my parents were deeply religious. So, as I grew older and the invisible visitors continued on in my life, I was considered odd.

No one in my family or community was familiar with ghosts, psychic children, the idea of intuition or dis-incarnates. In fact, they simply didn't believe in any kind of psychic phenomenon at all. To them, it was all baloney. To them, these things simply didn't exist. But in my life, I wasn't afforded the luxury of that kind of unawareness.

In my religious upbringing, you lived, you died, you were judged and then you went to heaven or possibly hell. I tried to believe what I was being taught, but here I was having a very different experience from what I was told was real.

At this time in my life, I still didn't realize that these people, my invisible friends, were dead people - and there's a good reason for that. They weren't. True, they had left their bodies, all for various reasons, but their spirit lived beyond their body and they were all very much alive. Of that I've always been certain.

It wasn't until much later in my life that I realized these entities I saw and felt everywhere I went were ghosts or earthbound spirits. And it would be even a few more years before I realized their purpose in my life.

Tried as I may to stick to my religious upbringing, my experiences were flying in the face of my church lessons. So, even though I've tried to deny the existence of ghosts, yes, I'd have to say that they do indeed exist.

Ghosts come from all walks of life. They are believers, non-believers, straight, gay, old, young, male, female and from all nationalities. The only commonality they share is that they refuse to move on to the Other Side as a result of different forms of fear.

'The Ghosts of Crowley Hall' Documentary

The full Ghost Investigation at Crowley Hall conducted by Arron Kasady and his team was filmed for a full documentary entitled 'The Ghosts of Crowley Hall'. How do you introduce your new cat to the ghosts who, well, may be part of your family?

Yeah, I know, most people will probably lift a disdainful nostril at this. I suspect that the majority don’t believe in the Supernatural, and to tell you the truth I shouldn’t either.

I’ve got a scientific background, having graduated in Chemistry and worked as an Industrial Chemist for many years. As such, I'm fully aware that Science doesn’t recognize the Supernatural.

Now, I have to qualify that. In the 1970’s there was an ongoing movement on the part of the scientific community to investigate supernatural phenomena, and an entire issue of the magazine Science was devoted to it. After several years of investigation, the community concluded that the Supernatural does not exist -- primarily because supernatural phenomena are not reproducible.

For a fact to be established by the Scientific Method, it has to be reproducible – identical results must be obtained under identical conditions by all researchers repeating the same experiment. Because of this, Science concluded that the Supernatural doesn’t exist. Results of experimentation were not repeatable.

It wasn’t amenable to the Scientific Method.

But the nagging question remains: if a phenomenon isn’t measurably reproducible, does it mean that it's not there?

Modern Quantum Physics has reopened the possibility of other realms we can neither measure nor perceive. Stephen Hawking has suggested that the reality we find ourselves in is merely a statistical summation of all possible parallel realities – none of which can be directly measured -- which come about because of choices that, well, we have made.

Now, I’m not a Quantum Physicist, but to me this would indicate that there are indeed other realms beside the one we live in that we cannot perceive.

But maybe your cat can. In particular, there is a mystique surrounding the black cat, which I tried to debunk in my article “A Black Cat is Only a Cat”. I still stand by my belief that there is no “bad luck” associated with a black cat, but I do have to admit one thing.

My black cat acted very strangely on Halloween.

Granted, the Santanas (hot California winds) were blowing through the house, and there were a lot of strange noises and movements that came about because of the wind.

But still…

It was as if he was sensing something else going on. Something that wasn’t there.

Well, a lot of people think cats are psychic. Bill Murray encountered a psychic cat in “Broken Flowers”, when he visited an ex-flame who was a “Cat Whisperer”. Her cat sat and stared at him unblinkingly for the entire duration of his visit. He asked his ex-girlfriend about the cat, and she replied, “He says you have a hidden agenda”.

Cats seem to have some kind of special knowledge or perception of the world that we humans lack. Many cat owners testify to the experience of having their cat arch her back, growl and spit at something that "isn’t there".

So, if this is indeed the case, that at least some cats are sensitive to the Supernatural, and by implication, sensitive to ghosts, perhaps ghost hunters like the TAPS people ("Ghost Hunters", the SciFi Channel), http://www.the-atlantic-paranormal-society.com/) might consider identifying these cats and carrying them into the haunted places they investigate. Sort of like miners carrying caged Canaries down into mines as indicators of poison gas.

Who knows? These “Feline Ghost Detectors” might be more reliable than some of the high tech Infrared devices and sound recording systems TAPS uses to provide indications of wayward spirits. The latter instruments sometimes give false readings due to lazy homeowners who fail to fix their malfunctioning transformers and fuse boxes.

Perhaps a black cat, who won’t arch his back because of electromagnetism leaking from a defective fuse box, might reliably “spit” at a real ghost.

Who knows?

'The Ghosts of Crowley Hall' Documentary

The full Ghost Investigation at Crowley Hall conducted by Arron Kasady and his team was filmed for a full documentary entitled 'The Ghosts of Crowley Hall'. The more powerful you become and the more you practice these spells, the better the results will be. The same is true for all spells, not just spells to summon ghosts. The more you develop your natural power and the more in tune you get with the natural elements, the better these spells to summon ghosts will work for you. Before you do any of the following spells to summon ghosts, you must find and use a protection spell. Always, always, always do a protection spell first when working with ghosts or spirits in case you end up with an evil ghost or spirit.

First Of Two Spells To Summon Ghosts - Summoning Ghosts and Spirits

This is a very easy spell that can be done anytime. You need a needle, a piece of paper, a piece of red wool, and 5 candles.

Take the piece of paper. Make a big spot in the middle with a red marker, crayon, or color pencil. Then take the wool and put it in the needle's hole. Near the spot in the middle write these words "YES", "NO", "MAYBE" and "I DON'T KNOW". Write them around the circle.

Ritual: Put the needle on the red spot and hold it by the wool string. Don't hold the needle just the wool.

Now you chant: "I call upon the spirit of (name the spirit that you want to call upon.)" You can call anyone you wish. You can call a past family member or an angel or anyone else you choose. Chant this three times. While you are saying these words, remember to spin the needle with your hand in a clockwise direction. Now you ask a question, and you wait for the answer. Try not to move the needle. You will know the answer when the needle goes near an answer (from those you have written).

Second Spells To Summon Ghosts - Summoning A Ghost

Go to the grave of the person you wish to summon. Lay on the grave and close your eyes. Begin breathing in and out through your nose. Once you are completely relaxed, begin to count backwards from your current age over and over again. As you do this, allow one breath in for every 3 numbers, and one breath out for every 3 numbers. Hold an image of the person you wish to summon in your mind. If you don't know the person you are summoning, which is very dangerous, simply concentrate on your breathing.

Continue to breath and you will eventually enter into what is called a suspended state. While in this suspended state, you will be able to communicate with the spirit of the person you are trying to summon.

Please remember that any and all summoning spells can be very dangerous. If you don't know what your doing you can easily summon an evil spirit or ghost and not be able to send them back. Only with training and time should you ever try and summon a spirit or ghost of any type. Get the proper training first, then try to summon.

'The Ghosts of Crowley Hall' Documentary

The full Ghost Investigation at Crowley Hall conducted by Arron Kasady and his team was filmed for a full documentary entitled 'The Ghosts of Crowley Hall'. We found much more than we bargained for, so much so that during a glass moving experiment the glass almost flew off the table! With its rabbit warren of corridors and back stairways I decided a full public investigation was called for which we carried out in March 2006. We were not disappointed.

Hidden behind a Georgian facade, the Great White Horse Hotel is a timber framed coaching inn dating back almost 500 years to the 16th century. Today the original courtyard still remains, though now glazed over.

Originally built on this site in 1518 and previously called The Tavern it gave it’s name to the street it stands on. It was rebuilt, strangley enough, in 1815 and it’s guest list reads like a who's who of historical and famous people.

From 1520 onwards, The Duke of Norfolk, Queen Elizabeth 1st, King George II, King Louis XVIII of France and Lord Nelson (then High Steward of Ipswich) with Lady Hamilton. Charles Dickens was another famous guest, featuring the hotel in the Pickwick Papers. In more recent times Edward VIII and Mrs Simpson (after the abdication) and many more names you will know from your history books.

As for our investigation, the disembodied leather boots of a soldier were seen walking along a back corridor and contact was made with a servant girl, we believe the murder victim we originally searched for. The table on wheels we use for Table Tipping danced around the ballroom, as if the ghost in contact was re-living the memory of a bygone age. Unexplained moans, an uncomfortable energy; we believe may have been the murderer, remained unidentified, weird lights and EVP: (Electronic Voice Phenomena) captured by a customer on their camcorder, completed the weekend.

The strange thing about the EVP is that it was in French. We know that Louis XVIII of France and his entourage stayed there but we were unable to ascertain if one of his staff were killed or died there. The customer was waiting and filming in a corridor with his team ready for their next experiment. One of the team asked if anybody knew if this was the right place. The answer, recorded in French said “File d'attente ici”, translated to “Queue here”. It would seem ‘they still serve those who stand and wait’.

On a more normal note, the artist Jevan Watkins Jones was in residence at the Great White Horse Hotel from September until December 2001. During this time, he recorded and reflected upon the tedium and buzz that a hotel encounters in its daily life. His works; The Housekeeper, the Head Chef, the Night Porter and All – Life at The Great White Horse Hotel, were displayed in The Room Upstairs gallery at Christchurch Mansion, Ipswich: 8th December 2001 – 27th January 2002.

John Blythe is Senior Executive Manager for Haunted Weekend who organise public paranormal investigations in haunted hotels and castles throughout the UK. Due to fear or of a neutral personality, majority tends to believe in ghosts; and of course, there are few who do not believe in these stories at all.....If u utter any such ghostly experience, they would daringly challenge such things.

I remember such a story happened to a medical student, who publicly questioned the existence of ghosts and challenged to undergo any such ghostly experience. It was during a general discussion on ghosts, that he strongly disapproved the existence of ghosts and narrated those things as fake and absurd. Sooner, it became strong topic of debate and he entered into a bet with his friends to disapprove their views.

The guy agreed to undergo any fear filled, ghostly experience. And the bet offered him prize money once he is through with the challenge. The guy seemed to be so tough and was ready to take up any daring action.

The bet was like this,

There was a peepal tree near the boy's hostel. And it was a hot topic of discussion during the past years of that hostel. The tree was famous either with suicides or with vampires and related stuffs. It says ghosts usually find their aboard on it. (Not scientifically proved, but great story tellers say so). And here, the guy was asked to pierce a nail on the peepal tree. The time of his daring action was set to be 12: 45 mid night.

It's almost 70 meters distance from the hostel to the peepal tree. As decided earlier, the guy took his determined steps towards the tree with a hammer and nail. It was getting darker when he moved near to the tree. He looked around, the hostel seemed to be a dark chamber from distance, and the screaming of bugs added a horror ambience too.
By then, slowly he could feel the coldness passing through his feet. He ensured twice that he was holding the hammer tightly though his palm was getting sweaty. He thought to hit few strokes and finish the job so fast.

Now, the coldness has passed on to his body and to his finger tips as well. It's totally dark around...The whistling wind moves with a panicking ambience. He felt like its long way to reach near the tree.

With trembling strides, somehow he managed to reach over there...

The moment he reached at one arm distance to the tree, he raised the hammer...fixed the nail.... The wind was blowing bit heavy, and he felt as if the wind will pull him up. He hit the nail with maximum power. When it pierced an inch on the tree he quickly turned back and tried to run away......ALAS.....he couldn't....... some thing is horrifying...
Somebody pulled him from back....his neck was getting tight...He felt like somebody is trying to strangle him. ...ohhhhhh... he screamed aloud. But no sound came out and nobody came to help. Few minutes passed.....

His friends thought that they have lost the bet money. And they waited in anticipation of his successful return. They waited and waited for long. But they couldn't find his return. So they decided to go on search of him. Once they reached near the tree, they found him laying down the peepal tree. Totally lost with senses and movements...They all screamed. Meanwhile somebody brought water and sprinkled on his face.....But no response....Its really ghostly...

Wahhh.... Its...Unbelievable right... but what happened in reality? Due to extreme fear and horror filled ambience, he pierced the nail on the tree along with a corner of his shawl. So once he turned back the shawl on the neck got tight and it pulled him back slightly. Once the inner fear increases, obviously we will experience high stress, right? So here also the slight pull from the hooked shawl felt to him like somebody was pulling from back, thus he lost his mental control and fell faint...

This is just a story to an extend ...But are these things a reality.

There are lots of beliefs in each and every culture. They have something to talk about ghosts. Both oriental and occidental traditions have its on style of narration about horror creatures. Film industry has grown big with ghostly content. And what more to say, even there are specialists who demands controls on all these extra sensitive affaires...and takes a big fee to cure your mind. What do you say? Do you believe? Or daring to take a challenge?

By Pradeep ChamravattomUnknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7474247848366909171.post-29065411585419462372008-09-25T13:37:00.000-07:002008-09-25T13:40:40.379-07:00Ghost Videos - Fact or Fiction?Ghost videos. Have you ever watched one? If you love a good scare, you're not alone. We watch ghost videos or ghost documentaries when they come on TV, or we rent them. Whether you're watching for education purposes or solely for entertainment, many, including me, feel intrigued, or drawn to, ghosts and the after-life.

What intrigues me about watching ghost videos is the thought that these ghosts (or spirits) were alive and real at one time.

What if ghosts walked, talked and ate like any other person? What if they had the same thoughts as other people? Perhaps they themselves even watched a ghost video, or saw a real ghost. What did they think about ghosts and the after-life while they were alive?

What if ghosts are real? Sometimes while I am watching a ghost video , I'm left wishing that I myself could talk to the ghosts and hear what they have to say. What kind of stories would they have to tell me? I personally think ghosts are quite real.

If they are ghosts from history, I'm especially interested in how and where they lived, and how they died. Did they know famous people? Did the ghosts from the Civil War fight with General Robert E. Lee, for instance?

Some people believe ghosts that haunt present-day dwellings or houses where they used to live are ghosts that can't seem to make it to the other side. Something has stopped them, or they just need a little help to move on.

Others believe that these ghosts may want to stay behind and tell us something, warn us about something.

Still others believe that these ghosts don't even realize that they are dead. These ghosts think that they're still living, and that society and fashion, etc. have merely changed a lot in their lifetime, not having a sense of real time, or knowing that time has moved on, perhaps without them.

Whatever the case is, watching ghost videos never ceases to amaze me.

By Krista Brehaut

The Ghosts of Crowley Hall is now available to Buy or Rent from Amazon.com from as little as $1.99Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7474247848366909171.post-21014563279724012242008-05-11T05:59:00.000-07:002008-05-11T06:03:19.915-07:00Crowley Hall Review by AngryPrincessThe Paranormal has always fascinated me. Whether it be as a child when it terrified me, or as an adult where it became an obsession to prove to myself that there was something after life besides just death. Have I personally ever found anything concrete…not really only a few what ifs made it to me. Today in our world the paranormal is almost like having a second language, everyone delves in it. I have went to countless cemeteries, abandoned buildings and mental asylums and all I ever manage to get were dust orbs, a few unexplained glowing orbs, and an incident that caused me to run like the wind out of that place and I’ll never forget it.

Crowley Hall was built in the 19th century and served as a hospital. Then from the 1920-1930’s Doctor Leys and his wife Beatrice took over and it became a place for the criminally insane. Dr. Leys was noted as being a key figure in creating new treatments for mental illness in Northern England. Some say Dr. Leys liked to perform sadistic experiments on the more violent patients. It is stated that Leys death was from a heart attack but insiders new better and spoke of an operation gone wrong in which Dr. Leys ended up a victim from the patient he was treating. I guess he should of tied those restraints a tad tighter and he wouldn’t have ended up stabbed in the neck.

The Ghosts Of Crowley Hall is a documentary Arron Kasady and a team of other experts set out with a vengeance to make and you see their determination as well as many parts of this old historic building. When the team holds a séance things start to get interesting and are visited first by a man named Alfred and then by a spirit believed to be Leys himself. If you like shows like Ghost Hunters or if you like old abandoned buildings like me this film is for you. It was a little hard to hear some of the reaction bangs but none the less it was exciting to watch. I sincerely hope they go back and see what other things they can find out about this amazing historic place!

7/10

CLICK to purchase the DVD NOW!!
Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7474247848366909171.post-57260607933320194972008-01-28T13:53:00.000-08:002008-01-28T13:56:16.921-08:00Angels, Spirits or Ghosts by Rob DanielsWhen it comes to the supernatural, few have not had a brush with eternity. Whether you attend church regularly or are the most determined doubter, the miraculous seeks out all at one point or another. Most of us have one or two fleeting incidents which we easily explain away, while an insistent few claim to have regular contact with members of the great beyond. Who are these beings who open the veil and remind us that we are not alone? Are they glorious messengers sent from God, or malevolent tormentors? Tradition gives them names, but what is the distinction between an angel, a spirit, and a ghost?

Stories of angels are as old as history. In virtually every world religion there is an angel figure-a benevolent celestial being who acts as an intermediary between heaven and earth. In scripture, angels visit man on earth to deliver messages. While many Christians believe that angels are the souls of good people who have passed on, official church doctrine generally describes angels as being created by God before the creation of humanity. Instead, saints are defined as virtuous people who have received their immortality. (One exception to this would be the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, who believe angels are humans who have been resurrected and have bodies of flesh and bone.) Angels are generally virtuous beings, although there are “fallen angels” who become known as demons. Although artists depict angels in glowing robes with halos and wings, the Bible says many entertain angels unawares. If you sense you have been visited by a heavenly being who has delivered an important message, chances are, you have been in touch with an angel.

The definition of spirits is more nebulous. Spirit is used to describe many things, including the part of a living being associated with the mind, will, and feelings. The word spirit is used interchangeably with angel and ghost, although spirits most definitely exist separate from the physical body.

While spirits and angels are almost always part of traditional Western dogma, ghosts are often left out of the religious equation. However, many spiritualists and individuals who have experienced near-death experiences describe ghosts as being individuals who have died, but who have not passed through the “tunnel of light.” They are found in areas they frequented during their lifetimes, and are attired in the styles of their day. Unlike angels, ghosts are in a condition of darkness and lack understanding. They may be confused, may not even know that they have died. Ghosts are almost always associated with haunting-although they may mean no harm. Most ghosts have an attachment to this world, be it unfinished business, emotional trauma, or fears that keep them from crossing over. A visit with a ghost does not have to be frightening. The kindest thing you can do for a ghost is to help him or her to put closure on his or her life and decide to find peace in the next life. A ghost who is particularly evil may have to be exorcized by an authority.

Angels, spirits, and ghosts each serve their own purposes, but one thing they all have in common is they remind us of our own mortality and keep our eyes heavenward.

For more information on the upcoming movie ‘The Ghosts of Crowley Hall’ visit http://www.crowleyhallghosts.com/ – or our MySpace page http://www.myspace.com/crowleyhallghostsUnknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7474247848366909171.post-30771813274509319802008-01-26T10:20:00.000-08:002008-01-26T10:31:15.513-08:00'The Invitation' Music Video by LadyAxeMulti-talented South African Musician ‘LadyAxe’ presents the music video for ‘The Invitation’, which is the official song from the upcoming horror movie ‘The Ghosts of Crowley Hall’. Horror films are films of the horror genre that are designed to elicit fright, fear, terror, disgust or horror from viewers. Horror is defined as an overwhelming and painful feeling caused by something frightfully shocking, terrifying, or revolting. Filmmakers would continue to merge elements of science fiction and horror over the following decades.

The horror genre has also offered various types of horror movies that deal with Satan. The late 1950s and early 1960s saw the rise of production companies focused on producing horror films, including the British company Hammer Film Productions. Hammer enjoyed huge international success from full-blooded technicolor films involving classic horror characters, often starring Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee, such as The Curse of Frankenstein (1957), Dracula (1958), and The Mummy (1959) and many sequels. Hammer, and director Terence Fisher, are widely acknowledged as pioneers of the modern horror movie. . In the 1960s the genre received a notable enlivening by the addition of three important sub-genres: the horror of personality, the horror of Armageddon, and the horror of the demonic, as observed by Charles Derry. Other analysts used terms such as "psychological horror", with less precision. Films of this time seemed to cross lines between horror and thriller conventions, with an especially notable example in Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960). For the first time in Psycho, the object of horror does not look like a monstrous or supernatural other, but rather a normal human being. The horror has a human explanation, too, based in Freudian psychology and sex. Films of the horror-of-personality sub-genre continue to appear through the turn of the century, with 1991's The Silence of the Lambs a noteworthy example. Some of these films further blur the distinction between horror film and crime or thriller genre. Ghosts and monsters still remained popular, but many films that still relied on supernatural monsters expressed a horror of the demonic. The Innocents (Jack Clayton, 1961) and The Haunting (Robert Wise, 1963) were two such horror-of-the-demonic films from the early 1960s, with high production values and gothic atmosphere. Hitchcock's The Birds (1963) had a more modern backdrop; it was a prime example of a menace stemming from nature gone mad and one of the first American examples of the horror-of-Armageddon sub-genre. One of the most influential horror films of the late 1960s was George Romero's Night of the Living Dead (1968). This horror-of-Armageddon film about zombies was later deemed "culturally, historically or aesthetically significant" enough to be preserved by the United States National Film Registry. Other companies contributed to a boom in horror film production in Britain in the 1960s and '70s, including Tigon-British and Amicus, the latter best known for their anthology films like Dr Terror's House of Horrors (1965). These sometimes controversial productions paved the way for more explicit violence in both horror and mainstream films

The first, a minimal approach which was equal parts Val Lewton's theory of "less is more" (usually employing low-budget techniques seen on 1999's The Blair Witch Project) and the emergence of Japanese horror movies which have been remade into successful Americanized versions, such as The Ring (2002), and The Grudge (2004). There has been a return to the zombie genre in horror movies made after 2000.

by Samantha Bennett

More on Arron Kasady’s ghost investigations and the upcoming movie ‘The Ghosts of Crowley Hall’ can be found on our official site - www.crowleyhallghosts.comUnknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7474247848366909171.post-55782642425875094542007-12-07T14:12:00.000-08:002007-12-07T14:14:07.489-08:00Horror at Temple House by A Kasady
We had heard about Temple House through a local ghost hunting team that I have regular correspondence with. They told us of an investigation that they had carried out a few weeks previous that had yielded some interesting results. They had decided to go back there in a few months time but asked if I was interested in taking a look as they wanted another team to verify what they had found. With my interest peaked I got the team together and we headed off to see what the location had in store for us.

The place itself is an old building that had been built in the early nineteenth century as a home for a local dignitary. Although the outside had the look of a building that had been standing around for many years its interior was one newly furnished offices and top of the range equipment.

Dr Katherine Copeland carried out her routine tests as always and came back with very little in the way of any abnormal on either the thermometer or on the Gauss meter. She did warn us of the electromagnetic fields that would be a around due to the amount of equipment that was plugged in. We decided that the gauss meter would be pretty useless in these surroundings and decided against taking it with us.

The team had Annabel Keogh our medium try and contact some of the spirits that still may be lurking around in the building and this was where things got a little interesting.

She came back with the name “Alice Carruthers” - which was a name the previous team had come up with – who was a young girl that had been working as a maid to the original owner of the building. She had become pregnant by the owners son but, once she had informed her lover of this, had found herself being pushed down the stairs by the young man who had been worried about the affect this could have on his standing.

The team agree that we would carry out our investigation around the stairs after Ann had informed us that she felt no other presences in this building and that Alice was causing all the paranormal activity in a bid to let the living know she was there. Ann also said that she would help the young female spirit find her way to the other side when the investigation was over. With that in mind we set up the equipment and waited to see what the night had in store.

In started out quietly with nothing much really going on, a few minor sounds that had some of the other team members jumping but other than that very little was happening. It was only when Annabel commented that she could feel the spirit of Alice moving down the stairs that the hairs began to rise on the back of our necks.

We positioned the cameras towards the stairs and sent Katherine up with the temperature gauge. She reported a degrees drop in temperature that she couldn’t find the reason for. We called out and received what sounded like small whistle for our troubles. Although nothing was picked up on the video cameras some orbs were picked up around the stairs on the stills.

We decided at this point that we would hold a séance with a Ouija board. We asked out for information and received on the board the message “Sad” and “Baby”. Ann informed us that the girl was unhappy at not being able to give birth to the baby before she had died. We also received the message “James” which we knew to be the man that had killed her and “Stairs” which we already knew was the place that she had died.

Nothing else of not happened during the session so we packed away the board and waited. On calling out we received some bumps and bangs in answer to our questions and we also had a big drop in temperature that once again Katherine couldn’t find an explanation for. We also heard the strange whistle sound again and several more times after that.

When morning came we had gathered enough information and recorded several strange occurrences that had made it a worthy night. Probably not as much as we had hoped but not so little that it had been a waste of time. We left Ann to cleanse the location of the spirit, something she always likes to do alone, and once that had been carried out made our way to our office to go over all the date and conclude our findings.

More on Arron Kasady’s ghost investigations and the upcoming movie ‘The Ghosts of Crowley Hall’ can be found on our official site - www.crowleyhallghosts.com
Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7474247848366909171.post-41970353489174789622007-12-06T08:01:00.000-08:002007-12-06T08:03:27.129-08:00Ghost Hunting Should Be Professional by Robert Benjamin
Ghost Hunting can be very fun and yet at times it can be one of the most terrifying things you will probably ever do in your life.

The following are just a few of the things folks have encountered during ghost hunting or paranormal investigations:

1. Smells: These smells can seem to come from no where, and develop instantly and disappear just as fast. The smells are often putrid like rotted meat, or like fresh bowel movements, and are very overpowering at times.

2. Apparitions: Some spirits appear as barely visible forms, while some become as solid and normal looking as a living person.

3. Clouds - Mists - Masses: Often fleeting shadows, things seen out of the corners of the eyes are encountered. Or a rolling black mass may appear, sometimes a whispy form like smoke is seen.

4. Disembodied voices: These are often heard and at times they can be very scary. Imagine being in a darkened room, and having something invisible whisper or even shout in your ear. These are not EVP's, but normal sounding speech.

5. Physical Sensations - Some ghost hunters have been touched, pinched, slapped, had their hair pulled, been scratched or even bitten by invisible entities.

6. Rappings - Scratching - and Knockings: In walls, ceilings and floors. Strange sounds and noises are often heard in haunted locations, as well as hearing what sounds like objects being dropped, or moved in nearby rooms.

7. Cold spots: Sometimes just before a spirit manifests they draw energy from the surroundings. Often a spot in one area of a room will suddenly become very cold. For example the temperature thoughout a room may average 75 degrees but in one corner or area, the temperature will suddenly plummet to 50 degrees or even colder. This is a sure sign of a spirits presence or a soon manifestation.

8. Power drains and equipment malfunctions: Like cold spots, when a spirit is drawing energy needed to become solid or more visible, they will often draw-in nearby energy, this energy can also come from batteries in video camers, and other devices. Often cameras, tape recorders, even lights will suddenly go haywire or stop working all together when a spirit is present.

Almost everyone that does ghost hunting believes that there are two types of spirits, human and in-human, the latter are also called demons. I am a born again christian and believe the bible 100%. From my beliefs in the bible as factual. I believe there is only one type of spirit involved in any haunting, and these are in-human or demons.

According to the bible, when we are dead our spirits or souls are present with God, from there we are either granted a life of love and peace in heaven with the creator and the other believers, or we are cast into hell forever, with no chance of escape. The bible also says there is a huge chasm or void that separates the living from the dead, they cannot cross over or communicate with each other. There are other statements in the bible that clearly says that ghosts can not be the spirits or souls of people who have died.

Whether the creatures involved in a haunting are spirits of dead humans or whether they are demons, if one is trying to prove that they truly exist or if you are trying to disprove a haunting, then you must do paranormal investigations as a professional.

A professional Ghost Hunter or paranormal investigator needs to have the right tools. Here I will explain devices that every ghost hunter or paranormal investigator MUST have, if he or she is truly taking the phenomenon as real or as a business, and not as a joke.

1. Voice Recorder: It doesn't matter if you use a standard tape recorder or one of the new digital recorders, what does matter is the quality and the ability to use an external microphone. Try to get one that is of good quality, but make sure you get one that has a plug in microphone with a cable or cord so the end of the microphone is away from the recorder. The small all-in-one recorders that have the built in microphones, pick up a lot of the hiss and gear noise from the recorder when they are in record mode. A recorder is a necessity for recording EVP's. EVP's also called (electronic voice phenomenom) are a very unique and sometimes frightening thing that is often encountered in a haunted area. What an EVP is, is a voice or other communication that is heard on a tape or digital recorder during playback, that was not heard when the recorder was recording.

2. Film Camera: Do NOT use a digital camera because the photo will always be questioned as being fake, no matter how good it is, where if you use a film camera, you at least have the negatives as some proof. And unless you buy a high mega-pixel digital camera, the photo quality will be less than a nice cheap 35mm film camera.

3. Camcorder: A camera is good, but a camcorder is even better. Get one that uses a tape, either the small cassettes or one of the older models that use the full sized VHS tapes. I bought two of these older camcorders for under $75 each recently.

4. Thermal Imaging scopes or goggles: These capture the upper portion of the infrared light spectrum, which is emitted as heat by objects instead of simply reflected as light. Hotter objects, such as warm bodies, emit more of this light than cooler objects like trees or buildings. Often spirits that manifest have a temperature in their form that stands out in this spectrum, especially if a spirit is present in a cold location.

5. Night Vision scopes or goggles: These little devices have become very cheap, a nice night vision scope can now be purchased easily for under $200. They work by collecting the tiny amounts of light, including the lower portion of the infrared light spectrum, that are present but may be imperceptible to our eyes, and amplifying it to the point that we can easily observe the image.

6. Flashlight: Take along two small pocket ones for each team member. What can be worse then exploring a dark cellar or underground area, and having the lights or another flashlight fail.

7. Walkie Talkies: If you have a group of team members, and you are investigating a large location, walkie talkies are not just a good thing to have, but they can be a life saver at times.

8. Notebook and pencils: Often any electronic, electrical or other devices may fail in a haunted location, so it's very wise to carry along a small notebook and some pencils in case you need to keep some valuable notes.

9. Thermal Scanner: A hand held thermal scanner (thermometer) uses infrared technology to measure the surface temperature of material without touching it. You simply point at your target, pull the trigger and read the temperature on the lit LCD display.

One of the best tools I recommend, is also the cheapest, under $10 U.S. It is a computer software program that is made just for Ghost Hunting and Paranormal Investigations. It's called 'Ghost Hunter'. The software is for anyone who explores haunted houses or locations where any type of paranormal activity is occurring. Whether you are trying to gather evidence of the haunting or other proof, this software can help make the job more organized and easier.

Ghost Hunter software was made as a scientific tool, for paranormal researchers that believe in spirits, demons, or ghosts. Researchers can easily keep track of vital data gathered at the haunted locations. With this software you can know at a glance such vital information as; the date and times of the activity, location info, GPS data, telephone numbers, notes, sounds heard, odors detected, temperature anomalies, and more.

More on Arron Kasady’s ghost investigations and the upcoming movie ‘The Ghosts of Crowley Hall’ can be found on our official site - www.crowleyhallghosts.comUnknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7474247848366909171.post-21041097294377137532007-12-05T09:24:00.000-08:002007-12-05T09:27:05.300-08:00Ghost Sightings at the Old Sheep’s Inn by A Kasady
If the research about this old building, situated on the outskirts of London, was to be believed then not all was well with this public house.

Built in the late 18th century, the inn has remained a public house/B&B since it was first built. Research tells us that it’s cellar, which is split into many rooms, was used as a holding area for prisoners when they were being brought down to the courthouses in London.

Katherine decided that we should carry out an investigation in this building when she found out that a lot of the prisoners who were held in the cellars never seemed to leave alive. The current owners of the inn told Katherine of some of the paranormal activity that kept them awake at night.

Glasses being thrown off tables, people seeing shadows, tables and chairs being moved in the night, but the thing that interested the team the most, ghostly screams being heard from down in the cellar. The workers at the inn refuse to go down there alone AND often don’t go down there at all in the evenings.

The team turned up and began our initial investigations into the workings of the building. We placed a glass in the middle of table in the bar area and around it laid some flour. Hopefully when we returned later on in the evening the glass would have been moved. We also placed some motion detectors in the hallway going from the bar to the cellar area to catch anything that may move through beams.

We brought Annabel in to give us her initial opinions of the building. Walking into the bar area first Annabel told us of the ghost energy of the past 300 years that still resided in the building. She told us of people and noises, the smell of ale and talking and laughing.

Annabel found it very hard to concentrate on any one given thing, as she was beginning to tell us so before she stopped. Annabel asked to leave for a few minutes for some fresh air. This is something we had never come across before on our ghost hunts, and were quite shocked by this.

After a ten minute break Annabel came back in and told us that while she had been talking about the ghost energies still in the building, when a spirit had whispered in her ear proclaiming that “Those that will be judged will be done so here.”

She then saw a visual image of a man being tied up to a pole in the basement and whipped to death. So shocking was the image that Annabel had needed to take five minutes out just to clear her head.

Now that she was back in however the ghostly images had returned. She informed us that the voice she was hearing was from one of the old patrons at the inn. “Robert”. She told us that when criminals were bought here and held overnight some of the soldiers escorting the prisoners paid Robert to do away with the men so they could lay claim to the prisoners dying on the way down to London. The soldier’s get paid and they could return home sooner than expected

Annabel claimed that Robert took great delight in beating the prisoners to death and doing away with the bodies. Annabel asked if we could now go down to the cellar as she wanted to confront this evil man and hopefully cleanse the inn of his ghostly influence.

We made our way down to the cellar, when Katherine told us that the temperature had dropped significantly since moving downstairs. Annabel claimed that Robert was angry we were in his domain and was going to make that quite clear to us as the night went on.

As we moved down deeper into the cellar, I was struck on the back of the head by what felt like a large hand. As I was telling people of my experience one of the other members of the team also shouted out in pain, saying he had been struck on the back of the head.

Annabel told us that Robert is going to make his spirit presence known, and we should all be extra careful. She went on to tell us that she could feel that a lot of men were murdered down in the cellar. More than thirty bodies had been carried out and buried in the surrounding areas. It was shortly after saying this that a loud bang was heard coming from one of the rooms. On investigating the noise, we found one of the beer barrels had been pushed over.

It was at this point I decided to call out to the ghost, and nervously I asked him to show himself to the ghosthunting group. I only just managed to utter these words, when we heard a scream coming from one of the rooms further down in the cellar. What happened soon after we got there, was something I won’t soon forget.

On entering the room, Annabel told us that this was the place that Robert carried out the deeds. I slowly entered the room with another member of my team to see what could have made the scream, and although the room was empty, we heard a shuffle coming from deeper inside. It was as we entered further, that we heard Katherine shout for help. We turned to find Annabel lying on the ground in tears. We tried to lift her up but she was in some sort of trance. I declared that this would have to be the end of the evening, as we needed to get Annabel upstairs and away from the inn.

It was as we were lifting her up and carrying her upstairs, that we heard another scream come from the room that we had just been in. As she heard this, Annabel began to wail that she had to cleanse the building of lingering ghost spirits. I refused and told her the first thing we needed to do was get her upstairs and outside.

When we finally got Annabel outside, I went back into the building and had a look at the glass which we had left on the table. Sadly nothing had been moved, and nothing had set off the motion detectors. I picked the stuff up and got outside with the rest of the team.

I don’t know what happened that night. But I do know that soon after Annabel went back without us knowing, and cleansed the building of ghost spirits. She still won’t tell us what she saw that made her cry that night. It’s something that she never wants to revisit.

One thing, I am glad I’ll never have to visit that place again.

More on Arron Kasady’s ghost investigations and the upcoming movie ‘The Ghosts of Crowley Hall’ can be found on our official site - www.crowleyhallghosts.com
Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0
